About

Trailing and sometimes vine like blackberry that's native to the west coast of North America

Growing notes

This has been a bit of a volunteer, I never planted any of them, but I generally let them be. It grows along borders and as ground cover, when it finds some sun it produces lots of berries. They are quite tasty, it does have unpleasant small spines that break off in the skin, I fear it walking around the yard in sandals or bare feet, I trim it back if it gets near paths, patios, or anywhere it's spines become a nuisance.

For me trailing blackberry is one of the best tasting native wild berries in our region
