About

Red Huckleberry, classic, PNW native found wild throughout the region. Loves growing on woody debris and is often found growing off dead trees and stumps in the wild.

Growing notes

I collected these from cuttings from a wild specimen, I've had some trouble keeping them alive, of all the ones I've planted this one is the surviver, I think because it's planted in woody soil, mixed with wood chips and rotten logs, and it's fairly shady location. I think they struggle in hot exposed locations. Very slow to grow. This one's 6 years old and hasn't produced much or grown much.
